Houston celebrates the 65th anniversary of the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. This two-hour parade has historically been one of the largest in the country and includes over 100 entries to delight the Irish and Irish-at-heart. The free event, presented by the Houston St. Patrick’s Parade Commission, takes place in downtown Houston and is a family-friendly option for celebrating the holiday. A variety of community groups and local individuals will take to the streets to march along the parade route and registration is open to reserve space to walk, ride a float, or drive a truck and be personally immersed in the experience. Prices range from $50 to $175, but if you’d rather just head downtown to enjoy the parade as a spectator, then grab your green and find the perfect spot to watch along with fellow Houstonians! Blood Red Sky will rock out the night of the Houston's St Patrick's Day celebration performing the greatest hits spanning the 40 year career of one of the most iconic rock bands of all time, U2. Saint Arnold’s annual Saint Patrick’s Day celebration returns to the Beer Garden & Restaurant on Tuesday, March 17. This free event takes place from 4:00 to 9:00 PM and features special brews, food, live entertainment, commemorative glass mugs, a Shop Local market, and more. To keep things lively, the Houston staple will feature music by Jared Gibb complete with pub songs and covers, Clann Kelly with Irish folk dancing, and Das Ist Slainte with high energy Irish tunes.
